This past October, Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) hosted a meeting in Portland, bringing together experts to develop the first-ever exercise guidelines tailored specifically for older cancer survivors.
Led by Dr. Kerri Winters-Stone, a team of experts—including our very own Dr. Kristin Campbell—came together to launch the ACES initiative (Advancing Capacity to Integrate Exercise into the Care of Older Cancer Survivors).
“Our goal is to make exercise a core part of every cancer care plan, especially for older survivors with unique needs,” says Dr. Winters-Stone.
The team plans to publish these guidelines this spring, bringing us closer to accessible, effective exercise support for all cancer survivors.
