Congratulations to Stanley Hung for successfully defending his Masters Thesis!

On June 17th, Stanley Hung successfully defended his Master of Science thesis project titled “Physical determinants of physical activity for children who have completed treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukemia”!

His project was supervised by Dr. Kristin Campbell, with committee members Dr. Naznin Virji-Babul, Dr. Mark Beauchamp, and Anne Rankin. The study was held at the British Columbia Children’s Hospital under the supervision of oncologists Dr. Christopher Fryer and Dr. Sheila Pritchard.

Stanley started his Masters training in September 2012, and will be continuing with the Campbell Lab after his graduation.

We would like to thank all the committee members, the Oncology, Hematology, and Bone Marrow Transplant program and Physiotherapy Department at the Children’s Hospital, who have helped us earn approval to conduct the study, and assisted with recruitment and data collection. Most importantly, we would like to thank the families who volunteered to help us with our study.
