CEPL March 2020 Updates

In light of COVID-19, all members of the CEPL lab are working from home. We are doing our best to continue on with as many projects, and research activities as possible. Some of these projects include:

– The CHALLENGE Trial, which is investigating the effects of an aerobic physical activity intervention on outcomes for survivors of high-risk stage II or III colon cancer.

– The ACTIVATE Trial, which aims to evaluate the impact of a supervised aerobic physical activity intervention on chemotherapy-related cognitive changes in women with early stage breast cancer.

Recruitment for these projects is currently on hold, but will start again when it is safe to do so. For more information on these projects, click here.

Unfortunately, SIRvivor BC has been postponed until Fall 2020. This program aims to support men living with prostate cancer. It is a resistance-based exercise program facilitated by exercise trainers who are certified through BC Recreation and Parks Association. We look forward to offering the program at community centres again in Fall 2020. For more information on SIRvivor BC, click here.

Our team is also working on various manuscripts, and new projects, so stay tuned for updates on these! Until then, stay healthy and take care.
